When does this Privacy Policy apply?

This Privacy Policy applies to information that can be used to identify you or your partner (“Personal Data”) that you provide directly, either in LetSync or through associated survey platforms. Only adults over the age of 18 are able to register for LetSync

What Personal Data does LetSync collect?

“Personal Data” refers to name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifying data. LetSync will only collect as much Personal Data as is necessary to participate in research.

How will LetSync store my Personal Data?

Your contact information will be kept in a secure database. The LetSync database adheres to privacy guidelines established by the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). All data are transmitted, stored and processed in a secure environment.

Will my Personal Data be shared with any third parties?

No, this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your Personal Data will solely be used for research purposes, and we will not share your identifying information with anyone other than the LetSync study team.

What are my rights in providing your and your dependent’s Personal Data in Nexus?

Before providing Personal Data, other than the information we collect during registration, you will be presented with a consent form that describes how Personal Data will be collected and stored. If you do not agree to the procedures outlined in the consent form, you can decline to participate.

What if I no longer want to participate?

At any time, you may decide to withdraw your consent from the LetSync study. If you decide to withdraw, no further data will be collected. However, the data you have already provided while participating will not be removed from the LetSync database.
