Recruitment for Phase 1 of the LetSync Study is closed.
Phase 1 consists of one-time interviews with you and your partner. We can interview you both at different times or at the same time, but separately.
Why is Phase 1 being done?
We would like to learn more about how mobile apps may help Black men living with HIV in couples manage their treatment and care.
Where will Phase 1 of this study happen?
In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, interviews will happen over the phone or Zoom.
What will happen if I take part in Phase 1 of this study?
You will participate in an interview. We will ask you questions about how you use mobile apps in your everyday life, how you share or use mobile technology with your partner, whether or not you see benefits in managing your health with or without your partner, and ideas on how to do that.
After the initial interview, we may contact you and ask you and your partner to participate in a follow-up interview, in which we will interview you both together.
How long will Phase 1 take?
The individual interviews will take about 1.5-2 hours.
The joint couple interviews will also take about 1.5-2 hours.
What will I be paid for participating in Phase 1 of the study?
In return for your time and effort, you will be paid $60 for taking part in the individual interview.
For the couples interview, you will each be paid $60.
